Swim Lessons - American Red Cross

The Community Center and MAC (during summer) offers group and individual swim lessons through the American Red Cross.  Group swimming lessons are offered for children 2 days per week for 4 weeks.

No need to worry about missing a “testing day;” swimming lesson participants’ skills are evaluated throughout the entire session! New skills are introduced between the first and the fourth day and exit skill evaluation criteria is completed the fourth through the seventh day. Your little swimmers will enjoy our safety day on the last day of lessons! They will learn all about staying safe in, on and around the water and the basics of water rescues in addition to using lifejackets while riding on our Wibit Kayaks! Your swimmers will come out of our swimming lessons program feeling more confident, comfortable and better prepared for aquatic environments!

Individual Swim lessons are also offered at the Community Center.  Individual lessons are scheduled directly through the Aquatic Coordinator by calling 605-256-7548 or email laurie.bunker@dsu.edu
